The Political Power of Latina Moms.

Latina Moms could make a difference this coming  presidential elections.

In 2008 39% of Latinas voted compared to 29% of Latinos and this year, Latina Moms could go to the polls in much bigger numbers and be the ones who elect the next Presidente of the United States.

What Motivates this women to vote? What issues are important to them and as Latinas what can we do to make a difference this coming elections.

  1. Having children is a universal motivator for people. I never cared about local politics until my kids started going to school and using parks and local services. But now, watch out, because here comes Mama Bear.

  2. Great post. I think all women need to keep our voices heard in the coming election. We are a large percentage of voters and can make sure our issues are brought to light.

    Like Kim, I believe this is more because as moms we care more about the services our children will be utilize. I am happy fellow latinas are making their voices heard.

  5. I agree that Latinos will have a huge impact in the election but only if they vote. Coming from a Hispanic background its been my experience that people have a lot of opinions, but don’t take it a step further. I hope people will be motivated to register to vote and make their voices heard in the upcoming election.
