The Happiest Place on Earth Gets Spookier!

One of my favorite holidays is Halloween, I love to dress up and of course since I’m a mom, I love to help them choose their customs  and enjoy the spooky season. But without a doubt, my favorite Halloween event is Halloween Time at the Disneyland Reosrt for the last 3 years,my family and I have been going to the Happiest Place on Earth during Halloween and  not only my kids have a blast, the whole family does! During Halloween Time, Disneyland goes through a transformation, and as you know when it comes to decorations no one does it better than Disney, there are pumpkins and villains everywhere! So be prepared to take hundreds of pictures! And this year you can  join Mickey Mouse and the Disney villains for some new treats and family fun at Halloween Time  with the new Disney’s Halloween Time Carnival featuring “The Astounding Cauldron of Magic” at Big Thunder Ranch.

At Disney California Adventure Park, “The Art of Frankenweenie” exhibit with a peek behind the scenes of Tim Burton’s new film.

You can’t miss the Scary-Delicious desserts as well!

And don’t forget to visit The Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror, where a “supernatural” event happened on Halloween evening, 1939, forever haunting the building, this is my 5 year old favorite ride!!

At Disneyland, you can’t miss favorites like Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy attractions, which during Halloween Time have have spooky surprises!

Also new this year my family is specially excited about  Pirates League in New Orleans Square, where guests age three and up can live their pirate dreams and learn the ways of the seven seas by choosing one of three pirate transformation options: Jake and the Never Land Pirates, First Mate and Empress (created especially for all the pirate princesses). Pirates League is at Disneyland for a limited time only this fall and you have to make a reservation by calling here;  (714) 781-STYLE/(714) 781-7895.

Mickey’s Halloween Party is not only for children, I personally have a lot of fun!  As you know at Disney you can be a kid again, so each year, my family and I chose a theme and dress up, last year we were the Pirate’s family.

We trick-or-treat – candy and healthy treats  around the Disneyland park, we enjoy “Mickey’s Costume Party” cavalcade; dozens of Disney Characters dressed up for Halloween fun, DJ dance parties and have fun meeting  Disney villains over at Town Square on Main Street, U.S..

Plus  nearly all of the favorite Disneyland rides and attractions are open so it makes Halloween Time even more exciting. Disney saves the best for  last, “Halloween Screams” the  fireworks spectacular, hosted by “Master of Scare-omonies” Jack Skellington is presented exclusively for guests of Mickey’s Halloween Party, I can’t miss!

What you need to know about Mickey’s Halloween Party

  • The after-hours Mickey’s Halloween Party is offered as a separate-ticket event* on these nights: Sept. 28 and Oct. 2, 5, 9, 12, 15, 19, 23, 26, 29 and 31.
  • These party participants can also arrive before the party to “mix in” with regular Disneyland guests for three hours prior to the start of Mickey’s private bash.
  • Tickets purchased in advance for Mickey’s Halloween Party are $54 most days, while tickets purchased on the event days are $64. All tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party on Monday, Oct. 29, and Halloween Night, Wednesday, Oct. 31, are $69.

As I said I’ve attended Halloween Time for the last 3 years and here’s what I’ve learned:

1-Buy your tickets in advance, like TODAY, they do sold out really fast!
2-Arrive early. Take advantage that with your Mickey’s Halloween Party ticket you can enter the park at 4pm (3 hours prior to the start of the event) This was you can enjoy the rides.
3-Disneyland provides trick-or-treat plastic bags, but they aren’t really big and your children will receive tons of GOOD treats so either bring a trick-or-treat bag or plan to buy one, they are super cute, like this one we got last year.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort it’s a must this scary season, in my family it’s a tradition and it should be in yours as well!
