When you hear the word Nintendo 3DS, what comes to your mind is this?
Your kids sitting down, playing the video games right? But Nintendo 3DS motivates children to get active and make friends, did you know that?
First you have to create a Miii chracacter with the feauture on your Nintendo 3DS, Mii Maker. The best part you get to choose facial features,
You can take a photo of yourself with the built-in camera,
Once your Mii Character is ready, you’re ready to play Streetpass Mii Plaza, game pre-loaded with the Nintendo 3DS system,
On Streetpass Mii Plaza, Mii characters you create on your system meet and great other Nintendo 3DS owners via a wireless connection, anywhere you go.This weekend I told my kids we had to find more friends with the Nintendo 3DS, so we went to a shopping mall, turned on our Streetpass and started walking around.
And Don’t worry since Nintendo encourages you not to use any personal information no one knows who you really are, for example for my boys I used only their initials, DCA & CEC and that’s how other Nintendo 3DS users see them when they find them through StreetPass Mii Plaza.
My kids had so much fun looking for Mii characters friends, they would walk and stop to check their Nintendo 3DS, if the green light was on , it meant, they found a Mii character friend.
And when my boys found each others Mii characters, they were so excited!
And that’s not all the fun, once you gathered Mii characters you can play games with them,
Such as; Puzzle Swap where you can trade puzzle pieces with others via StreetPass to complete 3D scenes with Nintendo favorites, as well as find Mii, where your Mii has been captured and it’s up to you to save him/her by battling your way through a series of rooms in an RPG style quest.
You can also earn Accomplishments, see StreetPasses collected by region, and look out for famous guest Mii characters!
I’m telling you my kids had a blast trying to find Mii characters and the best part is they were playing a video game by being active, that’s what so great about Nintendo 3DS.
We’ve collected 3 Miis while out and about today, How many have you found?
