Must Do’s and Where to Eat at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World

This is not a sponsored post, I received complimentary tickets for the Magic Kingdom

There are dozens of attractions at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida so you can easily get overwhelmed, so while at  the Happiest Place on Earth of the East Coast this summer week, I discovered it’s best to make a list before hand of the attractions you want to visit.

On our third day, we visited Magic Kingdom and here’s a list of the attractions you can’t miss and the best places to eat.

I like all Disney Parks, but there’s something about Magic Kingdom that I love and it’s because here you can almost smell Disney magic! So it’s difficult to choose my family’s favorite attractions since they love  almost all of them, but here’s a list of our Must Do’s.

Magic kingdom tips

The New Fantasyland

This year the Magic Kingdom opened the New Fantasyland which is truly amazing, there lots of new attractions! Here you’ll find:

Storybook Circus

Inspired by the classic Disney animated film Dumbo, the colors, circus posters and music will make you feel like you step into the movie. Here you’ll find, not 1 but 2 Dumbos at Dumbo the Flying Elephant. The Barnstormer featuring Goofy as the Great Goofini, where kiddos can enjoy the thrill of a mini roller coaster, you can cool off at the water play zone at  Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station.

Enchanted Tales with Belle

You can’t miss Enchanted Tales with Belle, here’s you’ll be transported from Maurice’s cottage to the Beast’s library for a delightful storytelling experience. Your kids can meet and spend time with Belle, and if lucky they’ll get  invited to play a part in the story.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic®

Truly Disney magic and one of my kids favorites, here you’ll seat at Concert Hall and wear your 3D glasses and watch as Donald prepares the orchestra for Mickey, he comes across the conductor’s baton and decides to work a little magic by donning Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. With Donald in charge of things you know you’re on for an adventure as you he takes you  into a 3D dream world of classic Disney animated musical sequences full of surprises, specially the end which I wont spoiled but there’s a tail involved.

This is one of the best Disney rides and one of our favorites at Disneyland, Anaheim, CA, so we had to ride it in Orlando, FL. If you like  thrilling rides Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a must! Here a train ventures you  inside a nearly 200-foot mountain to the Big Thunder for an extremely exciting ride.

Another one of our favorite rides back at Disneyland, Anaheim, CA. Hop on a bayou, enjoy singing critters and watch Br’er Rabbit’s  adventure while trying to outwit Br’er Bear and Br’er Fox who want to eat him and  sing songs like “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” but the big thrill of the ride is the massive 5-story waterfall!

Tip: If you don’t want to get wet sit all the way in the back and you’ll only experience a sudden splash, but if you want to get wet sit in  the front and expect to get soaked! Also, get your fastpass early since it is one of the most popular rides at the Magic Kingdom.

Where to Eat

There are dozens of restaurants in the Disney’s Magic Kingdom, but these are 3 restaurants I considered have the best value out of pocket and best Disney atmosphere.

Be Our Guest Restaurant

This is the restaurant to have dinner at the Magic Kingdom, inspired by the Disney animated movie Beauty and the Beast, you can eat a delicious quick-service lunch or a delightful sit-down dinner inside the Beast’s enchanted castle to be exact at the West Wing which is truly magical, from the floor-to-ceiling adding  murals inspired by France’s Loire Valley, if you’re lucky you can even glimpse the enchanted rose. The food is truly delicious from a champagne vinaigrette salad, shrimp and scallops in puff pastry with lobster sauce to delicious desserts. Be Our Guest Restaurant is the only restaurant at the Magic Kingdom that sells alcohol during Dinner.

Plus girls between the ages of 3-9 will receive a princess wand and all boys between the ages of 3-9 will receive a prince’s sword. The food is ok, but the experience is priceless, I mean which other way you get to not only enter but dine at Cinderella’s Castle! This  is Disney magic at its finest, your kids will love for it!
