Explorer’s Reef will transport you into the world of the sea as you pass beneath an wave structure and get immersed in a coral reef that will give you the the feeling of being under the sea.

In this underwater oasis, children and adults  have the opportunity to  interact with shark pups, yes you can pet sharks! rays, horseshoe crabs and cleaner fish in four  pools.  My kids didn’t want to leave!

The opening of  Explorer’s Reef is  just in time for

SeaWorld’s 50th celebration!

Sea of Surprises is the theme of SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration, which kicks of March 21, 2014.  SeaWorld San Diego, along with its sister parks in San Antonio and Orlando, Fla., will join in the celebration, which will include new interactive pathway experiences, even more up-close animal encounters, a new nighttime seasonal Shamu show, and the SeaWorld Surprise Squad treating park guests with prizes and special experiences every day during the 18-month celebration.

New Spring hours at SeaWorld.

This spring, SeaWorld stays open late so guests can enjoy all their favorite park attractions by day and then stay to enjoy SeaWorld’s nighttime killer whale show. Park hours extended on select dates between April 12 and 27, check the schedule to plan your visit.
