Did you know, that one in four children have an undiagnosed vision problem?

This could affect their ability to learn and the problem could be more serious than just unhealthy sight, since diabetes is a main cause for blindness.

Eye didn’t Know That or Yo No Sabia Eso, is the new Transitions children’s website  which is not only educational is a lot of  fun,  where the whole family can learn how to take care or their eyes!

Also to educate and motivate the community, Transitions Optical and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) partnered and will be offering Free vision screenings in several cities around the country.

This is great information. I am really nearsighted…. I actually need to start wearing my contacts again! lol…

Both of my children had to see pediatric ophthalmologists (one is adopted and one is biological) one had a rare and benign color issue in his eye (sectoral herochromia) and the other had a slight ptosis that corrected itself. However they were worried about their vision….

Right now, both are fine, but we need to stay on top of getting their vision tested.

I have worn glasses since I was like 7 or 8 so I know that it’s important that my children get screened. Great information! : )

My almost-13 year old just got glasses for the first time! This is a useful reminder, thanks for the video.
