I believe the best way to teach kids about teamwork is having them play a sport. This will help them learn to work together and realize that they need to depend on others and others are depending on them as well.

I think teamwork is a hard concept to teach just by talking. Maybe do it while playing a game, if your child wants to do it by themselves then loses temper when losing or dong bad, then explain that he/she can’t do everything, that others working together can be better.

I teach my son about teamwork by leading by example. As a nurse I have to work with a team and my son sees that so it’s been a great way to teach! I also have him participating in several team sports run by our local church and he is learning how to be a good teammate that way as well!

  11. Angela Saver says:

We teach our kids the importance of teamwork by doing chores around the house together as a team. Even something as simple as putting the groceries away, we do it together until it’s all done!
