I remember the first time I saw a Wreck-It Ralph trailer, I instantly knew my kids were going to like the film, but I never thought not only they were going to love it, It’s one of MY favorite Disney movies.
First of all the animation is incredible! The colors are vibrant, the scenes look almost real, It’s one of the best Disney movies I’ve seen in years. But what I love the most is the story because anyone can relate to it and it’s a great message for the children, Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Wreck it Ralph tells the story of and arcade villain Ralph who gets tired of being the bad guy of his game.
For 30 years has been competing against Fix-It-Felix Jr. who is the hero of the game.
Ralph rebels against his role and dreams of becoming a hero, so he travels between games in the arcade. I loved that as always Disney didn’t miss one detail. The film takes you inside the arcade world, how the characters live and behave when the arcade closes. My children loved seeing his favorite video games characters, specially at Games Central Station.
The story without being serious even talks about unemployment and the struggle to survive, but more importantly, finding yourself and being yourself doesn’t matter what, a lesson Ralph learns after meeting the most adorable character of the film, Vannellope von Schweetz from the Sugar Rush game.
No wonder Wreck-It Ralph was such a hit at the box office, John Lasseter who’s behind scenes like Cars is the executive producer. The hit movie includes voices of John C. Reilly as Ralph, Sarah Silverman as Vannellope von Schweetz, Jack McBaryer as Fix-It-Felix and hillarious Jane Lynch as Sargent Calhoun.
So, when I heard about the release of the Wreck-It Ralph Blu-ray Combo Pack on March 5th, I couldn’t wait to to see it again and enjoy a family movie night, so when I received my copy for review I made sure to have the essentials at home.
I have to say my kids enjoyed Wreck-It Ralph even more then when they saw it at the movie theater.
